Venture out in the old winding streets to explore this exotic city and later indulge yourself to sit in the small cozy caf\u00e9 and enjoy the picturesque views over the old town. The tour will take you from the century old churches to the amazing panoramic views and famous bath district which attracted lots of people during the centuries.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Day 3: Tbilisi\/David Gareji\/Kvareli<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Today we drive to David Gareji cave monastery (6<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0c). On arrival you will be amazed by the picturesque landscapes and monastery itself. Centuries ago the monks carved out the caves that still &#8220;wow&#8221; its visitors today. Visit Lavra monastery and afterwards start walking up to Udabno monastery to enjoy wonderful frescoes and views overlooking Azerbaijan valley.<\/p>\n<p>Afterwards drive to Kvareli.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Day 4: Wine tour<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Today travel in Kakheti, region of wine making, centuries old elaborate feasting traditions and local Kakhetian hospitality.\u00a0 Visit the local wineries which keep the ancient traditions of wine producing. The method of Qvevri wine making in Georgia is inscribed in UNESCO World heritage intangible list. The locals will be truly the best guides here in explaining everything to you. Visit\u00a0bigger wineries\u00a0and compare their bottled wines to home-made ones.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Day 5: Kvareli\/Mtskheta\/Gudauri<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>After breakfast we depart for Mtskheta to visit two UNESCO World Heritage Sites: Svetitskhoveli cathedral (11<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0c) and Jvari monastery on top of a hill (6<sup>th<\/sup>-7<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0cc). Afterwards we continue driving up to Georgian Military Highway and en route enjoy the fascinating views. On the way to Gudauri we stop at Ananuri architectural complex overlooking Jinvali reservoir. Arrive in Gudauri.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Day 6: Day 8: Gudauri\/Kazbegi\/Gudauri<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Today we drive to Kazbegi and enjoy the stunning\u00a0mountains all the way. Upon arrival in Kazbegi we start walking up to Gergeti Trinity church (14th c). Hiking up to the mountain is of moderate difficulty but it is all worthwhile. The beauty all along the way and up to the church will make you forget about tiredness. If the weather permits, you may even see one of the highest peaks in the Caucasus \u2013Mt. Kazbegi (5047 m).<\/p>\n<p>Drive back to Gudauri and overnight.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Day 7: Gudauri\/Gori\/Kutaisi<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Another beautiful and picturesque day awaits us today. Start driving to Gori, better known as Stalin\u2019s birth place and continue to the ancient cave town of Uplistsikhe. That\u2019s a place where great Silk Road used to pass. Afterwards continue our way to west Georgia, Land of Golden Fleece and visit the city of Kutaisi whose antiquity is more than 3000 years.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Day 8: Kutaisi\/Becho<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In the morning we drive to visit splendid Gelati academy and monastery (12<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0c) and UNESCO World Heritage Site. The complex is outstanding indeed and captures\u00a0the attention of the\u00a0visitors from the very first sight. Afterwards we enjoy some free time in the food market of Kutaisi. Only a few markets are surviving until today and we recommend taking a chance to see Georgian spices, fruit, vegetables and sweets.<\/p>\n<p>Continue our way to Svaneti. En route enjoy beautiful views.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Day 9: Becho\/Ushba\/Mestia<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Get ready to start exploring Svaneti region and enjoy overwhelming beauty all around you. Today we&#8217;ll take a leisure walk to take a look at beautiful waterfalls flowing down from Ushba Glacier. Grandeur of the mountains and waterfalls will truly make you forget about anything else on the earth.<\/p>\n<p>At the end of the day arrive in Mestia.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Day 10: Mestia\/Ushguli\/Mestia<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Take a 4WD tour to the highest village of Europe inhabited all year around. The altitude of Ushguli varies from 2200m to 2400m. The village is topped by Lamaria Church and the highest summit of Georgia &#8211; Mt. Shkhara (5068m).
